Extrusion
Available Alloys
We have inventory of the following alloys:
6060: The Aluminum 6060 alloy is one of the most recommended for extruded profiles due to its excellent extrudability, surface quality, and ability to receive decorative finishes.
6063: This alloy is probably the most widely used worldwide for extruded profiles. It is considered the ideal balance between:
- Good extrudability
- Excellent surface finish
- Good mechanical strength
- Excellent anodizing
- Competitive costs
That is why it is the standard alloy in much of the extrusion industry.
6005: The Aluminum 6005 and 6005A alloys are an excellent choice when more mechanical strength than 6063 is required, while maintaining good extrudability and corrosion resistance.
It is considered an intermediate alloy between 6063 and 6061.
6061: The Aluminum 6061 alloy is one of the most widely used structural alloys in the world. It is designed for applications where mechanical strength, machinability, and weldability are more important than surface appearance.
Within the 6000 family, 6061 is often considered more of an engineering alloy than an architectural alloy.
6082: The Aluminum 6082 alloy is one of the extrudable alloys of the 6000 series with the highest mechanical strength. It is mainly used in structural and industrial applications where load capacity is more important than surface appearance.
It is considered the natural evolution of 6005A and, in many cases, a stronger alternative to 6061.
